About the project
Installation of large-format natural stone in interior spaces and elevator cladding with strict weight restrictions.
The Client’s Challenge
The need to clad marble in locations where the weight of solid stone (60kg/m²) made installation impossible due to the static load on the structure and mechanisms.
Our Approach and Solution:
Honeycomb Panel technology was proposed. The marble slabs were reinforced with an aluminium honeycomb backing, reducing weight by 80% (just 15–18kg/m²) and increasing impact resistance by up to 60 times.
